Where there is a blue line on the pictures, you will work the motifs together.
Choose 8 of your main colours that will go nicely together. Cut 20, 50cm pieces in each of the 8 colours.
Decide on the order of your colours.
Starting at the bottom of the nack.
Place the hook the top of the neck where you joined the two pieces.
Take 5 pieces of your first colour and pull it through so that it’s even.
Just tie a simple knot to fasten.
Do 3 more of them in the same colour leaving about 0,5 of a cm gap in between each strand.
Then repeat exactly the same with your next 7 colours all the way to the top.
Take your last two pentagons and fold each one and work together and onto the head as shown below.
Now take your horn making sure it’s stuffed well, and work it onto the middle of the top Pentagon.
Take your last colour and place it between the ears and horn.
Lastly, glue your two googly eyes onto the sides of the head.
Taking the 8 colour that you chose for your mane cut 6 80cm pieces in each colour.
Attaching the tail to the top back of the unicorn, go in the order shown by the pictures below, placing them as close to the pictures as you can.
Start by placing the first two colours, (purple and yellow).
Next two colours, (blue and orange)
Next two, (green and pink)
Now for the last two, (light blue and purple).
And there you have your tail!
Neaten the mane and tail up by cutting the ends more or less even so you don’t have one end that’s way longer than the others.
And there you have it, your rainbow unicorn! I hope you enjoyed this crochet–long and if you have any questions please do email me and I’ll be more than happy to help! If you have picked up any errors please let me know. I would love to see your rainbow unicorn, so please send me an email through the contact me page!
Have a lovely week!
